The Ian is a new five-story apartment building in the Woodland Park neighborhood of the Reston-Herndon area. Leasing recently began for the building, which features studio, one-, and two-bedroom units.
The Ian is located at the corner of Monroe Street and Eastpark Drive, across the street from the garden-style Bryson condominium community. It is within walking distance of Volkswagen of America’s current headquarters, which will be moving to Reston Town Center in 2023, and the corporate headquarters of ManTech. The upcoming Herndon Metro station is about half a mile away, and is scheduled to open sometime this year.

Amenities for the building include a fitness center, interior courtyard, business center, game room, and pool. Parking is situated in an interior garage (the “Texas Donut” style), although limited street parking is available. The nearby Woodland Park Crossing mixed-use center is anchored by a Harris Teeter supermarket, and features several dining and retail service options. As a development condition for the new apartment building, Fairfield Residential also constructed a neighboring public park with a tennis court, basketball court, bocce court, softball field, and playground.
The Ian started construction in 2019 as part of the larger Woodland Park development. Other new construction in the area includes the Woodland Park Station townhomes, which have been for sale since 2019 and continue to deliver. Approved future plans for the development include a pair of new office towers facing the toll road, an additional apartment building, and more townhomes.
